Giving people with learning disabilities the chance to continue living in the family home

Ageing parents and other relatives supporting a person with learning disabilities in the family home, face huge difficulties securing future accommodation. 

Because of the shortage of and uncertainty about statutory provisions, many families seek to make their own arrangements. 

This update summarises some of the options available to families, indicating some of the advantages and disadvantages drawn from a project funded by the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities.
