Improving Services
The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities want people with learning disabilities to get the kind of help they need from councils and health services

 

We work to make sure services include people with learning disabilities

 

Current projects

 

Better Health, Better Metrics : a project working with Primary Care Trusts and their partner organisations to address the health inequalities experienced by people with learning disabilities.

 

Past projects

 

Developing partnership working : resources about ways that services can work together to improve support for people with learning disabilities

 

Having a good day? : a research project to find out the best ways to support people with learning disabilities to have community based day activities that are right for them. It includes examples of good practice and recommendations for the development of day services.

 

Healthy lives: a project to find out how to get people with learning disabilities to think and  talk about the role that health plays in their lives
