Developing Connexions

This project checked how well the Connexions service works with young people with disabilities, mental health needs or autistic spectrum disorders.

It suggested ways that the service could improve.

Introduction

This action learning project evaluated and developed the capacity of Connexions to work with young people with disabilities, mental health needs or autistic spectrum disorders.

The project involved work with young people, families, Connexions and its partner agencies in 5 areas across England. It was funded by the Department of Health, Connexions Service National Unit and the Learning & Skills Council.

The project highlighted questions and made recommendations about the role and training of Connexions Personal Advisers.
