New visual identity for the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities

News Release, 6 September 2005

The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities today launched its new identity following a period of internal growth designed to increase the charity’s impact. The Foundation’s new distinctive logo was created by design consultancy Spencer Dubois.

The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities, launched in 1998, has grown rapidly to become a well known charity within the learning disability field. Research commissioned for the re-branding exercise highlighted that the Foundation is valued for its independence and balanced views.

The Foundation hopes to become one of the world's leading agencies on learning disability policy and research, to make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities and their families.

Andrew McCulloch, Chief Executive of the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities, says:

“Our re-brand is not just about a new logo. We want to build on our reputation for leading research and information provision, to become a globally respected centre for innovation and have a real impact on the lives of people with learning disabilities and their supporters. To do this we need to ensure that our brand is well understood, accessible and trusted by our main audiences – people with learning disabilities, their carers and the learning disability workforce. We now have a distinctive platform on which we can continue to grow.”
