More has to be done to make school and college leavers with learning disabilities realise that paid employment, and even paid self-employment, is a realistic and achievable goal.
Cross governmental inititatives such as Valuing People Now, Valuing Employment Now and Getting A Life (in which we contributed) are helping document the aspirations of young people, and aid their search for work.
