The Great Scottish Walk

Scottish Walk

June 2009 (new dates to be announced)

Edinburgh

The Great Scottish Walk is an excellent day out.  Take part in this event and help raise money for the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities whilst enjoying the fun of exercising.

The walk is divided into 3 walks, which allows participants to choose a level to match their fitness. You can choose between 12 miles, 6 miles and a golden mile.

About the Walk

The 6 & 12 mile walks start in Holyrood park at 11am, you will then wind your way through the historic city of Edinburgh, finishing at Meadow Bank Stadium.  All finishers receive a commemorative medal and certificate upon completion.

There is plenty of entertainment in the stadium and along the route, making it a real family day out.  So tell all of your friends and get them to join in celebrating the Great Scottish Walk’s 10th anniversary whilst supporting the Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities.

Who can enter

Anyone can enter either as an individual or as part of a  team.  As long as you are reasonably fit you should find the walk within your capabilities.

Teams

A minimum of four or maximum of six may take part in teams. Your team may compete for a prize by entering the category on the entry form.
