Keith currently leads on the Foundations work on employment and heads the In Business programme supporting people with a learning disability explore the option of self-employment and small business ownership.
Having supported people with disabilities into work for nearly twenty years, Keith has a particular interest in using enterprise and trade to develop opportunities for people. He has extensive experience of working in supported employment, developing social enterprises and social firms and supporting people to set up co-operatives.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Keith spent eight years running a development consultancy specialising in the creation of employment opportunities for people with a disability or disadvantage in the workplace. This involved work on a national, regional and local level supporting local authorities and other voluntary sector organisations.
He continues to develop initiatives and is a Founding Director of Boss Employment Community Interest Company, Red Initiatives CIC and Jigsaw Catering Co-op Ltd. Until recently Keith was also a trustee of Social Firms UK. Keith sits on the employment advisory groups for both In Control and Getting a Life.
