Hours: Part time (4 days per week)
Salary: £35,580 pro rata
The Mental Health Foundation, working with Housing 21, has secured funding for an exciting new project: running self-help peer support groups for people with dementia living in extra care and sheltered housing in London.
Experience of working with people with dementia in an empowering, supportive way is key, along with strong group facilitation skills and an understanding of the practical aspects of coping with dementia. Above all, you must be committed to the principles underpinning effective self-help and peer support.
The post holder will be employed by the Mental Health Foundation but seconded to Housing 21, who will be responsible for their day-to-day management.

To help with our ambitious plans, we're looking to recruit new Trustees who are committed to our values and aims. It's essential that you have at least one of the following areas of expertise:
- Fundraising from supporters, major donors, legacies, corporates and Trusts
- New business development
- HR in a commercially focused organisation.
It's also desirable that you have experience in one or more of the following:
- High level governance or management experience in the private, public or charitable sectors
- Ambassadorial and representational skills
- Fundraising or other charitable experience including as a volunteer
- First hand experience of mental health problems or learning disabilities issues either personally or professionally.
We'd like at least one of these new Trustees to be resident in Scotland.
You must also be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to our values and aims.
Trustees meetings occur six times a year in London. Trustee applications are welcomed from across the UK. Travel expenses are met.
